What is an
Aura?

Aura photograph polaroid on wooden table with crystals

This page is written according to people's belief in metaphysics. For many people, the Aura is only the radiance of human beings. And by others, it is considered to be an existing energy field that surrounds living creatures. The Aura is formed by subtle color radiances which surround the body of a human being. These radiances could once only be perceived by a psychic. Thanks to Aura Camera 6000, now everyone can see their auras within their aura images. Each color signifies a certain vibration which has different meanings.

The Aura, which is connected with the activity of the chakra (Sanskrit for "energy wheel"), reflects the individual state of consciousness. In that case, the colors of the Aura give us information about the quality of consciousness, as well as one's emotions, thoughts, abilities and the vital energies of a person

The History of
Aura Photography

From its roots in Kirlian photography to modern digital advancements, this intriguing practice has evolved, providing a colorful window into our innermost energies and emotions.

Mid 19th century

Karl Ludwig Freiherr von Reichenbach (1788–1869): "The luminous manifestations of 'od'" (1851) From 'Physico-Physiological Researches on the Dynamics of Magnetism in their Relation to Vital Force'

Karl Ludwig Freiherr von Reichenbach
Early aura photography example

While some occult photographers sought to record ghostly forms, those inspired by Mesmerism wanted to show the vital fluids that comprised objects and beings. If a psychic could visualize invisible energies—could a camera? In the 1860s, Austrian chemist Karl Ludwig Freiherr von Reichenbach began photographing objects in complete darkness, trying to capture their energy or "od." His work marked the onset of effluvist photography, a subset of Victorian occult photography and the progenitor of today's aura photography.
